*Pokes things* Cool! I got it right on the first try. Nifty.

Also, I fixed the link to the picture in the entry below. It helps to remember to add the subdirectory.

…And that’s about it, for now. I have to do laundry and dishes, eventually, but that won’t take too long.

Twitchy links are -bad-. Twitchy links under banners are -bad-. Stupid-ass font tricks that render the words illegible is -bad-. Blue text on yellow background = BAD.

I could go on and on and on, but I’ll stop there for now.

Someone thinks Jimmy’s real. I was afraid that’d happen.

Aigh!

I have Photoshop Elements on Fiach! *Dances around* Now I can do all kinds of fun layer stuff…And make icons, and buttons, and banners, and doodads, and thingummies, and… Yeah. Shushing, now. But still!

Aw, -crap-.

I just realized that what I really ought to have done was let my prior paid account lapse and pay for Jimmy’s instead.

Rats. I should have money sometime in the next 6 months or so, so I’ll do it someday. Just not now.

And it’s not like I couldn’t pay for Jimmy’s LJ right _now_, either, just that I don’t want to. I kinda feel like I shooooouldn’t have paid for the nspirelli one, either, but I think that’s just sorta psychic backwash from realizing that I coulda done things a little differently.

I love Choo Choo Bear. He’s my favorite Something Positive character, probably because he’s so ridiculously squishy and stretchy. Not to mention the fact that Ivan occasionally reminds me of Choo Choo bear…

Since I got paid, I bought six more months of LJ time.

Why should anyone else care? It means I’ve got a half-dozen codes up for grabs.

- First come, first serve
- Requests must be polite
- Requests must also use proper grammar and spelling (i.e. writing me with “cud u gyve me a kode plzzzzz!??!?!!111??! & 1 4 my frend 2!?!?!!” is NOT going to get you -anything-.)

That’s really about it.

Or Miscellaneous Stuff That You May Or May Not Care About.

– I thought that perhaps my down-arrow key was on the verge of dying. Turned out there was a chunk of candy-corn under the key, the removal of which restored the key to proper working order.

- I have a couple of warts on my left hand. I don’t know how I got them, which bugs me. What bugs me more, though, is that my hands are hideously dry (weather’s fault) and itchy, and I -really- don’t want to scratch open one or both and subsequently spread the little wart virii all over creation. Does anyone have any favorite folk remedies or OTC products, from the Eastern Balkans or elsewhere?

- I have not yet contacted a fellow student to find out what sort of hideous homework was assigned for Japanese over spring break. I’m making a wild guess and deciding we need to memorize kanji. Mental Note: Look for preprinted kanji flash cards.

- I also need to remember to talk to my CompRepair teacher about my Repair For Fun And Profit class project… I’m not planning to tell -him- this, but I think I’ll structure my SAR as an autopsy. “Subject is a well-nourished single grey-cased Sony Vaio…” If nothing else, it should make for a unique and interesting presentation…

- I was paid today, so I went shopping. Actually, I needed to go shopping — the nitwit dog ate my bagels (again! You’d think I’d, y’know, -learn- or something.) -and- a box of Rice-A-Roni. I decided that thanks to this dog’s tendancy to eat things he -knows- he’s not supposed to, my rates go up. Only by fifty cents, but that’s enough to cover bagels, cream cheese (I was out), and another box of RAR. Anyhow. As part of my haul, I bought a copy of Living Arts’ Yoga For Beginners (Practice) cassette, because they had it for twelve bucks. (Yeah, I know, the link’s for the DVD. I want that, too.)

I like yoga a -lot-. When I was desperately trying to kill my last elusive half-credit of PE in high-school, one of the intensives that was offered was Movement And Dance. As it filled most of my PE requirement (it was only worth a quarter-credit), I jumped in with both feet. We did everything from troikas and reels to tai chi and yoga. It was -fabulous-, and I’d do it again in a heartbeat, no question. Since it was only a .25-credit class, I had to do an independant-study PE section for the other .25 credit. I checked out all of the fitness videos I could find and reviewed them (though not very well, if I remember correctly… *Snicker* One viewing, conducted with a couple of intensive-mates, was nothing more than forty-five minutes of snide comments on the way the people were dressed) — including most of LA’s Yoga For (…) series. The Relaxation tape? _Very_ relaxing.

So I’ve been wanting to get back to yoga, particularly LA’s yoga instruction, for a while. I haven’t had a chance to watch the tape, but it came with a booklet which I read all the way through. It looks good.

- Ivan is still a cutie-pie. -Such- a cutie-pie!

- I’d like to get the Great Teacher Onizuka soundtrack, if for nothing else beyond the track called “Fire This Guy!”

- I read entirely too much True Crime for my own good.

- I still think I want to explore the Criminalist/Evidence Tech/Forensic Waffle Expert/Whatever career track.

- A house with only two bookcases is not a home. It’s a sad, sad, sad empty shell.

- Apparently, media is more important to my life than previously thought. While I haven’t exactly gone into true withdrawl, I didn’t even want to mute the commercials when I was watching TV tonight. I like TV. I enjoy being able to choose a channel and know for the most part that I don’t have to worry about liking whatever comes on next. This is decidedly unlike listening to the radio, where 97.3458293% of everything is overplayed crap. KNBA, of course, is one of the sterling exceptions to that. And I’d forgotten how much I liked listening to them.

- It’s nice to live somewhere with sidewalks.

- I need to go to bed. Guh.

Beethoven’s Fifth and Ninth symphonies are two of my favorite classical pieces.

And I have Bill And Ted’s Excellent Adventure II to thank for the ability to spell Beethoven’s name correctly.

That’s all.
