…Well, kind-of. He’s the subject of another (very short) short blurb over at Fiction Fun, and he’s commented on Tris’ journal and put up a post on his own.

And I need to go to sleep, now, but I’m _definitely_ keeping a couple of different writing possibilities on the boil, and they’re definitely off the back burners.

I know, I’m horrible for teasing like this. But I should have something soon!

Mom’s here!

I’ll probably be far more sporadic in my entries (not that it’ll be all that noticable…) until she goes home (boo).

I was trying to discover whether or not Yui Horie, who provides the voice of Sylvie-chan in Defence Force Mao-chan -also- did Kero-chan’s voice in Card Captor Sakura (she doesn’t), and discovered that a whooooole bunch of the seiyuu from Fruits Basket have been in a lot of other things I’ve watched — in fact, Kero-chan’s seiyuu is also the second seiyuu to be listed.

Funny ol’ world, innit, to quote Captain Jack…

Temporarily gone.

Also? I DO NOT HAVE A PENIS. THIS MAKES VIAGRA/CIALIS/WHATEVERTHEHELL ELSE YOU’RE ATTEMPTING TO PEDDLE IN ORDER TO GIVE ME BIGGER/BETTER/LONGER-LASTING ERECTIONS NOTHING SHORT OF RIDICULOUS. er, silly. *Ahem* And the pharmaceutical industry gets enough of my money for medications that I actually, y’know, need, so I’m sure as hell not going to give any to them for something I _don’t_, and is really not so much a ‘need’ anyhow. (flames/criticism/abject whining can go to that email address, too, but do be aware that I reserve the right to cut them to shreds/rebut them publically…)

At any rate, when I am more awake and less irritated, the comments may return.

And now I’m going to sleep, since I’ve stayed up waaaaaaaay past my bedtime… Argh.

Nonononononono….

*Whine* You know what I -missed-? You know what _I_ missed? What I missed because I A) had no idea it was happening and B) because I was out eating tempura halibut at the time?

JAMIE OLIVER. IN DOWNTOWN SEATTLE. AT BON-MACY*S. SIGNING AUTOGRAPHS AND DOING AN INFORMAL Q&A THINGY.

Yesterday, 6 – 7:30 PM, he made an appearance at the 3rd Avenue Bon, and I didn’t find out about it until just _now_. Guh.

*Ahem*

Dear Bon-Macy*s,

Please see this lovely explanation for a better discussion of the term ‘Generation X’ than the one I could have put together.

In lieu of that, however, here’s a hint: a good number of GenX’rs, particularly those of us who are my age and older, are not at all keen on J.lo (or, as some call her, JHo…); never _mind_ the little bitty fact that a good portion of the brands being peddled as being sought after by GenX consumers weren’t even _around_ ten to fifteen years ago… When we would have purchased them. Maybe. Or not, because you know, we are so _totally_, like, apathetic.

Or whatever.

And yes, I know, GenY (or whatever it’s called) is your primary target, since they are younger and more easily swayed by what they see on TV. However, this doesn’t excuse the fact that you used the ‘X’ on your site, which I can only take to mean that you’re after us, too.

not really yours,

mildly disgruntled at the end of the Gen X spectrum

P.S.: odd fact of the day — Kobe Bryant, Ashton Kutcher, and I are all the same age. That seems really, really weird to me.

P.P.S.: I went back and counted. Only 5 of the brands on the sidebar there have been around for at least ten years. Or at least to my knowledge — and I’m fairly certain I’m right. I’m not above being corrected, as long as it comes with some credible evidence.

P.P.P.S: What is with this model’s back? It just looks really painful to me, is all.

PPPPS: Do kids really come into your stores and drop 150+ dollars (or get their parents to do so) on an outfit? I really have no idea where these people get their money. Do they have some kind of secret cash cow they milk, or do they instead do without the basics, like food and water and heat?

Both the food and mail versions. This, however:

THE BES3T GA4Y SITE YOU WILL SEE2 ON THE NET TODA1Y! [url]

Sweet Taddeus

and this:

Subj: Souper Secksagavanza

are so amusing that I can’t get too upset about it.

It’s a good thing I learned to keep the addresses I don’t want spammed off my site.

Apparently, former members of The State have some short films up online. I don’t know anything about them/it, but this FameTracker thread has all the answers.

Today was full of Good Things:

– I made a walnut-and-chocolate-chip pie (basically a pecan pie with walnuts and chocolate chips instead of the titular pecans) and a pie crust from scratch, both of which were very well recieved

– I head back from the readmissions people — my appeal was approved, so I’ll be rejoining school at the beginning of next quarter (though I have no idea if I’ll be doing second over again or what)

– I viewed two apartments in a very nice building that is nowhere near downtown and is lightyears away from The Armpit Arms, and will probably be moving in to one of them sooner rather than later

and last but not at all least:

– My mother is coming to see me in about a week! Hooray!
