— The Boys Who Followed The Sun **
* — Currently, Duke is ranked Number Two in their conference. They’ve lost, like, two games all season. I don’t actually think they suck, and they _don’t_ — it’s a Fark-induced reflex. *Sigh*.
And speaking of “*sigh*”, **. I really really wish I had this on Nilanthi. It’s still on Sven or Fiach, I’m not sure which… Probably Fiach, since that would be the more difficult-to-access of the two of them.
First, a warning/apology: there are some atrocious hairstyles and suits in the pictures on the following linked pages.
Now, the explanation:
As in Barry Melrose, the commentator from ESPN/ESPN2. Well, okay, so he’s not a -technical- uncle, but a family friend. This all stems from my mother looking for a guy that she had a crush on back when they were in high school. She discovered that he played for the Weyburn Redwings for the ‘73 – ‘74 and ‘74 – ‘75 seasons.
Barry Melrose played on the same teams (though he was erroneously listed as ‘Gary’ in one picture) — and, according to other info that my mother found, Melrose visited the guy when he (Melrose) was in Alaska for some reason or other; they’re apparently still friends. As we were talking about the wee little world we live in, my mother said, “Just think — if That Guy and I had gotten together instead of your dad and I, you would know Unkle Melrose!”
I want to go to Target, but the two closest are about the same distance away. It will probably take me the same amount of time to get there, so it’s merely a matter of deciding if I want to go north or south…
At least it’s not raining.
Not quite. The pictures on the following pages were taken with a special lens, so they just _look_ like pictures of models — think the aerial view of Mr. Roger’s neighborhood. Very cool.

They’d probably look silly on me — they make me think of marching-band uniforms — but I like them for some reason.
So’s I can avoid buying a hundred metric tonnes of _stuff_. Hee. Boeing: Investment Recovery and Surplus Sales — Pacific Northwest — Surplus Store
does the world need A SEQUEL TO BAMBI!? Particularly _now_?
I want to know where all of these people live that clamor for all the crap that we don’t need. Then I will visit them and kick them in the shins.
Teenagers in Thailand are wearing fake braces as fashion statements. I know that I’ve never thought of braces as ‘unattractive’, as most people in the US seem to (or at least that’s the impression that I get from various commercials and publications… I know), but I’ve never thought of them as fashion accessories, either.
I do miss mine, from time to time, and I really liked being able to change the colors from visit to visit. *Shrug* I’m strange, though.
