Hi. Look, I love you guys — I probably watch more hours of cartoons a year than your average ten-year-old. I watch more cartoons now as an adult than I did as a child. And we watched a LOT of cartoons when I was a kid.
However (and I’m sure you saw this coming), I’ve got a minor little complaint. It’s about your Sunday Cinema offerings of late — yes, I know, you get to choose what you show. I just don’t think that live-action movies really fit with the charter — or, y’know, the NAME — of your network. That’s all.
Well, okay, not quite all. Frankly, you’re not playing anything that I either A) haven’t seen [Goonies, Batman, Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, Honey I Shrunk The Kids] or B) have wanted to see [Snow Day, other stuff I'm forgetting]. Part of my opinion is based on the fact that I got to see Batman in the theater about a dozen times* and that The Goonies is a better book than a movie. Part of it is that, frankly, non-animated stuff (outside of commercials, I guess) is just not part of my conception of a cartoon network.
No love for your movie choices, but lots for most of your other programming,
Me
*Long story, but it did result in my ability to identify Danny Elfman’s music within a few bars.
